Cake Walk: A thought on Marriage

'My hope is in you Lord', she thinks to herself.

Growing up she thought friendships were so important. She saw her friends all the time, and she thought it would stay like that forever. Now, though, she realizes your husband becomes your best friend, and that's the person you want to see everyday. Once you are with the one you love, it doesn't matter who else you see because the person you love is with you. The world is right. But what happens if you can't stand to be around them when they are doing wrong? What happens if they are doing wrong almost everyday? It gets very lonely. Then you have to sit in your loneliness and you are both lonely and both suffering. But God is sitting right there next to you. God feels your loneliness and wants you to know that you are not alone. If you just look to Him he will give you peace. He will fill that hole inside your heart. He says it is not good for man to be alone, so don't separate yourself from his love. Don't walk away and be by yourself. Even when things are hard, and believe me marriage is not a cake walk by any means, don't think for one second you are alone in this fight. Because God is right beside you fighting right along with you. But how are you fighting? Are you fighting with your words or are you fighting with your prayers? There is a very real distinction because The Sword of the Spirit is our weapon against the enemy. If you do not have the right weapons you will not win the battle because the enemy wants you to become weak and weary. Wants you to lose hope and if you are fighting with your words you will become tired and torn. You will lose the battle. So you need to stop fighting with your words and start fighting with your prayers.
Until next time ~
